Hallways

Since moving into my new house we have been planning how to redecorate and organise the hallway. It isn't the biggest hallway so we will need to be clever with the design do it functions effectively. My main tips or a hallway is to keep it as light as possible! What I mean by this that you need to balance out how much dark and light furnishing there is. For example if u have dark flooring, buy light furniture and vis versa, to keep the light open feel.
Below are some of my ideal hallways and I hope they get you excited and inspired to redesign your hallway.
Storage is the most important but also the most difficult aspect to a hallway. Therefore, I hope that these pictures will help to decorate your hallway.

Not only storage but also flooring changes the look completely. This could be tiles, rugs, boards, anything. My personal favorite is tiles or a rug just like the one shown in the third picture down.

Half painted walls

It is very rare that I follow the rules or produce something without a twist, making this wall decorating idea perfect for me! I have already painted a section of my wall a different colour, making this style to my liking.
Recently I have been seeing more post of walls pained with rough uneven edges. This interests me more as it softens the room and creates a gentle blend, rather than the bold straight lines on other designs.

Some people have taken this trend to the next level and have created dynamic geometric designs across their rooms. (pretty cool)
